I heard that Thorntons are currently offering a free box of chocolates worth £12 to anyone spending over £20 on their site. I visited their site to check this out. Unfortunately I couldn’t find that offer on their website. (Maybe I need new specs.) However, there’s more ways to get free chocolate!

You can win a “shed load” of chocolates. All you have to do is fill in your details on the entry form on their website. Also 300 entrants will be selected at random to receive a FREE box of chocolates worth £12.
(Terms and conditions apply.) The offer is open to UK residents aged 18 and over.

    So how much is a shed load, I wonder…? I had a nosey at the T&C and it said:

    5. Single prize is a garden shed approximate value £300 together with Thorntons “Year’s Supply of Chocolate” (worth £99) and a Chocoholic Hamper (worth £50). Shed will be delivered direct to the winner’s chosen address by end June 2009. Shed design will be at absolute discretion of Thorntons. The chocolate prize will be delivered at regular intervals over a one year period, with the first delivery by end June 2009. Delivery address must remain the same throughout. All images used in this promotion are for reference only and do not represent the actual prize.

    Now then… perhaps I’m not speaking for everyone here, but I’m pretty sure I could eat more than £99 worth of chocolate in one year. 🙂

    LOL! Not being a UK resident I’d not looked too closely and hadn’t noticed they were actually offering a shed as well! I’d thought it was just a figure of speech. What a bizarre idea!

    I couldn’t each that much chocolate in a year (I very rarely eat it) but I could easily give it away and make lots of friends.

    Oh, I’m sure you could if you tried… 🙂

    And yes… it is a little peculiar, isn’t it? I don’t really have a need for a shed (or the space) but we do have an outdoor grill-table which could make use of the firewood. Might not work so well if the wood is treated.

    What would worry me a bit is the requirement to commit to not moving house for a year if you win:

    The chocolate prize will be delivered at regular intervals over a one year period… Delivery address must remain the same throughout.

    So if you’re on the point of exchanging contracts, don’t bother entering. 😆
