Here are some good competitions I found out about recently.
(Open to residents of loads of countries)
Paul Johnson of A Luxury Travel Blog is running a competition where you can win one of five £50 vouchers from Blurb towards creating your own coffee table book. Imagine making a book full of your own stunning foodie photos! You don’t have to use the prize for foodie photos, of course, you can use it for pretty much anything you like.
I’ve checked out the book pricing and shipping information, which is all very easy to find, and with a £50 voucher you could very easily make a book and have it shipped to just about anywhere. There’s a list of countries they ship to on the Blurb website, which is easy to find under “shipping Information”. Plus you can sell your book in Blurb’s own bookstore.
To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is to post a comment saying why you deserve to win one of the vouchers. The competition closes on 31st January 2010.

(Australia residents only)
Win dinner with Donna. Mazda, in association with Donna Hay, is offering a fantastic prize. You can win dinner cooked by Donna for you and nine friends. The prize includes 10 airfares from anywhere in Australia, plus accommodation in Sydney. There are other prizes on offer too, such as free subscriptions to the Donna Hay magazine. All you have to do is answer a tie-breaker question about the Mazda CX-9. The competition closes on 31 January 2010.

As usual, BBC Good Food magazine is running a whole swathe of competitions where you can win foodie prizes. But be sure to check the closing dates carefully. For example the Harvey Nic’s hamper competition they’re still advertising has a closing date of 30 November. If you dig carefully, you can still find some which are open.
