You’ll no doubt have heard that Liverpool is one of the European Capitals of Culture for 2008. Anyway, as one of the events, the city’s hosting a Science Festival organised by the British Association for the Advancement of Science from 6-11 September.
So what’s this got to do with food? Well, for the first time the Food Standards Agency will be holding various events within the festival. The key events will be public debates about some of the hottest topics in food science, including obesity, GM food, and Government food policy and the science that underlies it. FSA Chief Scientist Andrew Wadge will also be launching his Annual Report at the Festival.
The FSA will be holding events all week, so if you you can make it to Liverpool during that period there’ll be plenty to see, hear and do (and, who knows, even taste…).
You can find out more about the Festival at the FSA website.
