These are very like what you get in some Chinese restaurants called barbecued spare ribs. Sure, you can use the larger spare ribs but the baby ribs are juicier. And sure, you can barbecue them too. But this is an easier way to go about making this tasty snack.
What you need is some ribs, preferably separate, ie not still on the rack, and a jar of hoisin sauce. Put the ribs into a bowl and spoon some of the hoisin sauce onto them. Then make sure every rib is coated and place the ribs on a baking tray. Put them in a hot oven for about half an hour until done. Turn them over about halfway through the baking process.
I used a non-stick baking tray because it was the first to come to hand. However, the sticky sauce can knacker the Teflon coating a bit, so either use an old baking tray you’re not bothered about or use a stainless steel one.
