Not Delia – now back in Britain

After over a decade of living abroad, Mr Not Delia and I have now returned to London for a few years. Whilst the sunnier climes of South East Asia more than compensated for the few items we were unable to source, it did get a little bit tough to run a British blog without ever setting foot in the country for years on end. Living overseas also meant that I had to turn down a lot of offers to test products and blog about them. On the other hand, I did get to try some fabulous restaurants in various countries including Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia.

I’ve found a lot of difference in British food since we’ve been gone – some good, some bad. Ready meals are better. There are new magazines to explore. And new books. Food ideas are often becoming more outlandish in what almost seems like an obsession for “new” dishes. I’m probably going back to basics, not least because it’s like starting to learn to cook all over again. There are exciting times ahead for this blog and I hope you’ll find them interesting too.

This is a whole new era for Not Delia, so do write in if you have any comments, questions or suggestions about the new direction. Please use the comments section below or my contact form.

Happy eating!
